It was the day. What day i hear you ask? Valentines day. I walk out of my front door.. Hair done, under cap. I check it. Still smooth. good. You guys must be wondering why im wondering for? Well, i wanted to impress the most popular girl in the school. Spinelli. Shes talented, impressive and most of all, beautiful.

“Hey Teej!” Vince shouted bouncing the basketball being me.

“Vince, be careful with the hair, dude!”

Vince widens his eyes. “Whats wrong with you?”

“Don’t you remember?” I exclaimed.

“Its Valentines Day! One of the most important days of the year…”

“Your beginning to sound like Mikey. Again, what the hell is going on in your head?” Vince knocked my head.

“I want to ask Spinelli out tonight!! Dads going out on a date tonight, hes leaving me by myself.. and you know i’ve always liked Spinelli!!” I told him, hurt.

“OH! I think i remember now…” Vince crackled.

I walked on.. ignoring anything Vince said. I didn’t want him ruining this, not even for the world.

“Are you going to help me or what?” I asked Gretchin. She came over early, she promised to help me pick out some clothes.

“Yeah. hold on. Tell me again why im doing this?” Gretchin muttered under her breath.

“I heard that!” I giggled, just about punching Gretch in the stomach.

iWhats up with me, popularity, clothes and boys anyway? i mean.. i used to be a Spinelli who punches anyone who annoys me. Now look at me. I thought.

“I hope these roses catch Teej’s attention. I don’t want to be a lost soul.” I sighed.

“YOU are one of the most popular girls in the school! How can you NOT catch his attention?” Gretch said, as she was combing my hair.

“I don’t care about that now. All i care about is Teej. I wish he would like me.. We have been best friends since Kindergarten. I’ve never thought about him like this until now.”

“Finished.” Said Gretch as she finished with the electric curler. “Lets run.”

We ran down the stairs, i grabbed my bagpack and we left. Left till the nerve racking stage amoung me. School.
